Prepare a decorative tray that is easy to move during a reception
Share
During a reception, a small display may need to clear a table quickly. Three tumbled stones grouped in a low bowl limit the number of items to manage. The tray with handles remains useful if the container does not slip and the path is clear.
What you need
- 3 pieces: Small Tumbled Stones - Chevron Amethyst. Size selected: 3 to 5 cm. View the reference.
- A rigid tray with handles.
- A non-slip low bowl.
For items sold by weight, take the number of stones indicated in the list. The total number of pieces in the lot varies depending on their size and weight.
Prepare the space
Measure the available depth before placing the minerals. Keep their entire base inside the cabinet or on the support. Compare the cumulative weight of the pieces with the furniture's load capacity, then choose the point from which you wish to view the composition.
The setup, step by step
- Clear the surface and place the accessories empty. Check that the supports are flat and wide enough for the chosen pieces.
- Place the bowl in the middle of the tray.
- Select three small tumbled stones and arrange them in a layer.
- Check that the bowl does not slip when you grab the handles.
- For a path with stairs or obstacles, carry the stones separately.
- Observe the result from the usual distance. Correct overlapping contours, then check the stability of each piece one last time.
The detail that counts
The lightness of the composition and the stability of the container matter more than the number of accessories.
Adjust the light and proportions
Start with diffused light and observe the surfaces from the main viewing point. Move an accessory slightly if its shadow or reflection obscures the stone. Keep the proportions of the actually chosen pieces: a small mineral is highlighted by moving closer or simplifying the background, without multiplying the accessories.
