Arrange a sphere display to make it easier to compare diameters
Share
Comparing diameters is easier when the spheres are placed at the same depth. Three sizes of selenite show a progression from 4 to 10 cm. The supports and labels remain distinct to avoid any confusion between the sizes.
What you need
- 1 piece: Sphere - Selenite. Selected size: ø 4 cm (Medium). View the reference.
- 1 piece: Sphere - Selenite. Selected size: ø 8 cm (Medium). View the reference.
- 1 piece: Sphere - Selenite. Selected size: ø 10 cm (Medium). View the reference.
- Three suitable supports.
- Three diameter labels.
Prepare the space
Measure the available depth before placing the minerals. Keep their entire base inside the cabinet or on the support. Compare the combined weight of the pieces with the load capacity of the furniture, then choose the point from which you want to view the arrangement.
The setup, step by step
- Clear the surface and place the accessories empty. Check that the supports are flat and wide enough for the chosen pieces.
- Align the 4, 8, and 10 cm spheres on their supports.
- Place the labels in front of each diameter without obscuring the base.
- Maintain the same display depth to compare the sizes.
- Check that customers can see all three spheres without moving one.
- Observe the result from the usual distance. Correct any overlapping outlines, then check the stability of each piece one last time.
The detail that matters
The diameters correspond to the selected selenite references; the supports should be planned according to each size.
Adjust the lighting and proportions
Check the presentation from the customer's position, then from that of the person working in the space. Move an accessory slightly if its shadow or reflection obscures the stone. Maintain the proportions of the pieces actually chosen: a small mineral is enhanced by bringing the viewer closer or simplifying the background, without multiplying the accessories.
