Create a monochrome decoration with minerals of different shapes

A pink palette can accommodate several shapes without losing its coherence. A pyramid, a heart, and a tumbled stone differentiate the heights and contours. Their natural shades bring variety to this monochrome composition.

What you need

  • 1 piece: Pyramid - Rose Quartz. Selected size: Base 2.5 to 3 cm; height 2 to 2.5 cm. View the reference.
  • 1 piece: Small Heart - Rose Quartz. Selected size: Width: 3 to 3.5 cm / thickness 7 to 9 mm. View the reference.
  • 1 piece: Tumbled Stone - Rose Quartz. Selected size: 4 to 6 cm. View the reference.
  • A cream tray.

For items sold by weight, take the number of stones indicated in the list. The total number of pieces in the lot varies depending on their size and weight.

Prepare the space

Measure the available depth before placing the minerals. Keep their entire base inside the cabinet or on the support. Compare the cumulative weight of the pieces with the load capacity of the furniture, then choose the point from which you wish to view the composition.

The arrangement, step by step

  1. Clear the surface and place the accessories empty. Check that the supports are flat and wide enough for the chosen pieces.
  2. Place the pink pyramid at the back of the tray.
  3. Place the heart flat in front of one side and a tumbled stone in front of the other.
  4. Leave space between the three shapes to differentiate their volumes.
  5. Orient the polished faces to limit very white reflections.
  6. Observe the result from the usual distance. Correct overlapping contours, then check the stability of each piece one last time.

The detail that matters

The color family is common, but the three pinks may have different intensities.

Adjust the light and proportions

Start with diffused light and observe the surfaces from the main viewpoint. Move an accessory slightly if its shadow or reflection hides the stone. Keep the proportions of the actually chosen pieces: a small mineral is enhanced by bringing the view closer or simplifying the background, without multiplying accessories.
