Classer une collection par couleurs tout en conservant ses étiquettes

Sort a collection by color while preserving its tags

A color-based arrangement can still allow for precise identification. Five pyramids offer a common shape that makes the shades easy to compare. The low label holders keep the names visible without obscuring the minerals.

Prepare the space

Measure the available depth before placing the minerals. Keep their entire base inside the cabinet or on the support. Compare the combined weight of the pieces with the load capacity of the furniture, then choose the point from which you want to view the arrangement.

The setup, step by step

  1. Clear the surface and place the accessories empty. Check that the supports are flat and wide enough for the chosen pieces.
  2. Align the five pyramids from light to blue, via pink, purple, and green.
  3. Place a label in front of each pyramid.
  4. Keep the same orientation for the five bases.
  5. Photograph the arrangement so you can easily restore the order after dusting.
  6. Observe the result from the usual distance. Correct any overlapping contours, then check the stability of each piece one last time.

The detail that matters

The names remain linked to the pieces: do not remove the labels simply because they interrupt the line of color.

Adjust the light and proportions

Start with diffused light and observe the surfaces from the main viewing point. Move an accessory slightly if its shadow or reflection obscures the stone. Keep the proportions of the pieces actually chosen: a small mineral is enhanced by bringing the viewer closer or simplifying the background, without multiplying the accessories.
